Nic Amicone

Nic Amicone

Nic Amicone is a native and longtime resident of suburban Detroit. He and hiswife, Patty, have retired to Ludington, MI. Nic is a proud graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School and studied Civil Engineering at Michigan Technological University. Nic worked as a Custodian/Boiler Operator for 33 years at the Utica Community Schools, left public service due to privatization. He is currently employed as a Cellarman learning the secrets of making great beer at the Ludington Bay Brewing Company.
Nic is an avid hunter and fisherman. He has volunteered most of his life for numerous wildlife conservation groups including but limited to Detroit Area Steel header, Fish Point Wildlife Association, and North Macomb Sportsmen Club. As a certified boat and lighthouse aficionado, he has been welcomed home safely by the Ludington North Breakwater Light too many times to count. In an effort to show his appreciation for this wonderful sentinel, he began volunteering 3 years ago as a Day Keeper at the Ludington North Breakwater Light. He will forever favor duty shifts at the Top of the tower! With an eye on continuing to serve, Nic joins the SPLKA Board of Directors in 2023 and looks forward to protection and preserving the wonderful pieces of history.
